Equal support in Wales

As part of the devolution process, Wales has developed its own Equal Implementation Plan. The Wales Implementation Plan has been developed in line with the GB Community Initiative Plan, focusing on the priorities for Wales. Wales has its own ring-fenced allocation of funding for development partnerships within Wales. Although Wales will participate in the asylum seekers and refugee theme, this will be managed at a GB level through the GB Equal Support Unit.
The implementation of Equal in Wales is managed by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO).
