Partnership planning seminars
11 and 12 November 2004, London Chamber of Commerce
On 11 and 12 November, the Support Unit held two one-day seminars at the London Chamber of Commerce to formally introduce the Logical Framework Toolkit (Log Frame) and Project Cycle Management (PCM) to Round 2 DPs.
The PCM and Log Frame tools aim to ensure that each project stage is managed correctly and that partners remain focused on achieving their objectives. Both models will help DPs to consider the importance of developing robust partnerships and a targeted approach to developing innovative work that can support disadvantaged groups and influence positive change across mainstream provision. PCM and Log Frame are widely used in international development, and now Equal GB, in common with other European Equal programmes, wants to explore and test its potential for making things simpler in Equal DPs in the UK.
The primary aim of the seminar was to introduce PCM and Log Frame to Round 2 DPs who may be interested in these project planning tools, and offer DPs the opportunity to improve the overall quality and impact of their partnership planning, working and delivery. Specific objectives on the day included providing an opportunity for DPs to network and ‘gear up’ their Action 1 activities in order that they are able to set up appropriately targeted Action 2 and 3 activities and work plans.
The presentation from the seminar is now available to download below; in addition, the Guide to using the PCM/Logframe is also available in the good practice guides section.
